The Artistic Lens Photography
The real you, at work or at play: showing people, and the things they care about, at their absolute best.
Beautiful studio and location photography, taken with a designer’s eye and an artist’s heart.
See yourself as you’re meant to be seen
When you book The Artistic Lens, you can be confident you’ll be listened to from the very start. We’ll work together throughout the process to create exactly the photographs you want, with nothing feeling forced or generic.
You’ll feel relaxed and at ease during every type of shoot, often forgetting the camera is even there while I carefully craft your perfect pictures.
With extensive experience in both studio and natural light photography, and with a particular strength in handling challenging, unpredictable lighting, I'll produce great results indoors, outdoors and whatever the weather!

Testimonials: What clients say about my photography
“Paul is an absolute joy to work with. Friendly, warm and professional at all times, he immediately makes you feel at ease and ensures you feel comfortable throughout the shoot. As someone who has never been particularly photogenic, it is a testament to Paul’s excellent photography skills that he captured so many lovely pictures and I was delighted with the results. Paul is super-talented and a lovely person, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.”
“It’s been several decades since I undertook studio portraiture for a range of clients. It’s a precise art, combining all the technicalities of lighting and exposure while at the same time engaging the sitter in conversation to make them feel at ease. Paul Armstrong has mastered the art and produces first class portraits. His attention to detail and dedication to exacting post-production is masterful. I can highly recommend that you seek him out for a professional portrait session.”
